Traveled to Las Vegas for business, and spent a few nights at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Stratosphere Hotel & Casino on the strip.
The weather was crappy and did not have too much time in the evenings, so messed around with long exposure frames from my balcony. Albeit, the view from my room not being all that great, but with cloudy skies it made for some interesting pictures.
The shots from the observation deck on the Stratosphere were blurred as they did not allow tripods up there - what a shame. Just shot one of the elevator doors that looked interesting - and no, I did not take in the rides this time.
Shot with
(1) EOS 40D + EF-S 10-22 F3.5~4.5 USM on Gtizo 3541LS and Manfrotto 488RC2 Ballhead,
(2) EOS 1D Mark III + EF 24-70 F2.8L USM handheld
Forgot to change the camera's time zone, so had to do some fancy synchronizing with the GPS track logs. Took two sidetrips to
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and
Zion National Park.
